Write the rules of engagement
Before you leave you write down what each agent may decide alone, and that writing becomes the configuration. The rules live as skills the agents load, and each agent gets its own autonomy level: the support agent answers from the approved knowledge base and sends directly, the invoice chaser sends its usual sequence, a triage agent has no send rights at all and only sorts and routes. Name the thresholds and the human
The envelope is defined by its edges, so you set them explicitly: the value under which a refund or credit is granted without asking, and the categories that are never handled alone, typically anything legal, any threat to escalate publicly, anything angry, and anything over the threshold.
