Gmail has no key an agent can safely use, so it arrives later with sign-in through Google. Until then, forward the mail you care about to your agent's own address, which already wakes it.
Can a Qoren agent work with my Gmail?
Not as an integration yet: Gmail offers no API key, and reading mailboxes needs sign-in through Google and Google's security review. Today, give the agent its own email address and set a Gmail forwarding rule or filter to it. New mail wakes the agent, which can read it and answer from its own address.
Why Gmail is not ready yet
Gmail has no API key a customer could paste. Reading a mailbox needs sign-in through Google with restricted scopes, and Google requires a security assessment for apps that use them. Qoren's integrations start with keys, so Gmail comes with the sign-in phase.
Forward Gmail to your agent today
- 01Give the agent its own email address in Qoren. New mail wakes it, and it can read, reply and send from that address.
- 02In Gmail, add the agent's address under Forwarding and POP/IMAP. Read Gmail's confirmation code in the agent's mailbox in Qoren.
- 03Forward everything, or create a Gmail filter that forwards only what the agent should handle, such as invoices or support requests.
Frequently asked questions
How do I forward Gmail to my agent?
In Gmail settings, open Forwarding and POP/IMAP and add the agent's email address as a forwarding address. Gmail sends a confirmation code to that address first: open the agent's mailbox in Qoren to read it. To forward only some mail, create a filter that forwards matching messages.
Agent email inboxesDoes a forwarded email wake the agent?
Yes. When a mailbox is connected, a trigger named Email received wakes the agent each time mail arrives, with the sender and subject up front. Mailboxes come with plans that include them and are paid in credits.
Why is there no Gmail integration yet?
Gmail cannot be connected with a key, and an app that reads Gmail mailboxes needs sign-in through Google plus Google's restricted scope security assessment. That work comes with sign-in for integrations.
